Currently, Alicante stands out for hosting over 722 new development promotions for sale, including thousands of apartments both under construction and completed. This positions Alicante as the fourth province in Spain in terms of new housing volume, following Madrid, Barcelona, and Málaga. According to the Alicante College of Technical Architects, in 2021 more than 1,000 projects were initiated, resulting in the construction of 5,600 properties which added up to more than 1,000,000 m² across the province.

Prices of new developments in Alicante

In Alicante, the most affordable square meter of new construction can be found in Ibi and Cox, where prices hover around 750 €/m². Almoradí follows closely with prices around 850 €/m², and Monovar slightly above 850 €/m². Callosa de Segura exceeds 880 €/m². The lowest average price per square meter in the province is around 1,200 €/m², while in high-demand areas such as Moraria and Punta Prima, prices surpass 2,300 €/m². Locations such as El Albir, San Miguel de Salinas, Benidorm, Benijofar, and Cabo Roig also display high prices. Altea, and particularly Altea Hills, stand out with prices exceeding 2,000 €/m² and reaching more than 3,000 €/m².

Denia and Orihuela add dynamism to the market with 30 and 26 developments, corresponding to 8% and 7% of the total, respectively.
